Just an accountant. Well, alright, an accountant for the mob. Sure, it's kind of a nasty secret, but- Really, that's all. No, no, no need to look into his hobbies, that's not- well, okay, okay. So he keeps human pets as cute little dollies from time to time, but hey, listen- everybody's gotta have some fun stuff to do to unwind, right?
No, he doesn't get their permission first. Why would he need to do that?
Carlo is brutally efficient in his work; he's analytical, level-headed, and quick to go along with his boss's orders as needed. And outside of those official duties, he's largely an ordinary 25-year-old man. He likes video games and memes, and has a tough time getting along with his parents. All the typical difficulties of being the only son of a Chinese family in a western country come out in force, and even though he makes the best of it, it really does weigh on him after a while. It's a lot of pressure for him, all told, and so his primary source of joy is pouring his free time into his main "hobby."
The difference in Carlo's ordinary demeanor and his attitude towards his "dolls" is night and day. Where he's normally very ordinary, businesslike, and calm, he's excitable and doting on the "pets" in his charge like a particularly mushy cat parent. He keeps them in his basement, taking care of their every physical need (often against their wishes - it truly is every need he's taking care of, with no regard for privacy) and dressing them up in cute outfits. And regardless of what they have to say on the matter, he coos and gushes with adoration about how cute he's managed to make them. Absolutely none of this is a fetish for him, as he has no particular fetishistic interest in power play to speak of, even for ordinary BDSM play. It simply makes him happy, and it's a nice way to reroute the pressures of everyday life.
Dante Romanesco Boss
The bossman. The big cheese. The fucking dick in the eyesore yellow suit. Carlo's kind of best friends with Dante, for better or worse. Sure, he's fucking wretched. But it's not like Carlo's any better, and he's at least self-aware enough to know it. They get along as well as could reasonably be expected, and they play video games together sometimes.
Giada Napolitano SiC to Dante
Only a total idiot would not know, somehow, that Giada is the one really running the show on the racketeering squad. She's scary and quiet, hard to really relate to, but Carlo likes her well enough. He's quietly decided she must never meet his parents, since he suspects they will be impolite to her and wind up shot.
Rick Andrews Squad Bodyguard
Rare is the person who is actually fond of Andrews. Carlo is not that person. Andrews is, however, at least funny when a more threatening target is in view and he gets all puffed up and angry, and Carlo does not care to fix that situation when it arises.
